MAKING YOUR OWN AUDITION FILM!
HJS in cooperation with Cinedans LAB
For a first round of auditions, dancers are increasingly expected to present themselves through a short videoclip. With today’s smartphones everyone has a camera at their disposal. But how do you showcase your talent in an insightful and honest way? How do you display yourself and your talent when you’re not there? And how do you ensure that the videoclip’s quality is sound? In this workshop you’ll work under the guidance of choreographer Johan Greben and filmmaker Leo van Emden, both former dancers, on your very own audition tape as you’ll explore both theory and practical assignments.
Cinedans LAB is the education and talent development label of Cinedans Dance on Screen. Through specialised workshops for professional dance- and filmmakers, Cinedans aims to deepen the genre and raise the quality of dance film to a higher standard. Cinedans LAB’s workshops and masterclasses offer support in the development and production of dancefilms. The label brings together the production processes and artistic worlds of dance and film.
